Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 Did your spouse or significant other Graduate from Edison?: Yes, Dan Baker If so, what year?: 1980 What have you been up to since the last reunion?: I did not attend the last reunion but I look forward to this one. I am looking forward to reconnecting with some old friends. From Julie : After high school, I attended Va Tech and Radford University and majored in Education. Dan Baker and I started dating in 1982 and we have been happily married for almost nineteen years. We live in Botetourt County in Southwest Virginia. We have three children- Haley (14), Sam (10) and Olivia (7). I became a middle school special education teacher and remained in that position for sixteen years. I then became an assistant principal and principal of Read Mountain Middle School. (Yes, I know what you all are thinking...but it is true!) Middle school can be a challenge and I could certainly say to my students "Been there..done that." I just accepted a promotion as Special Education Supervisor for Botetourt County Public Schools . My hope is that I can have an impact in the lives of students with disabilities.

Website: bunchofpants.blogspot.com Marital Status: Married Did your spouse or significant other Graduate from Edison?: NO What have you been up to since the last reunion?: I sort of skipped the last reunion because I was in grad school (University of Wisconsin) and couldn't get away. Since then I've been working--I've tried several "careers," currently I'm a graphic designer. (I'm still deciding what I want to be when I grow up.) I've lived in several places over the years--Johnson City, TN; Madison, WI; and Chicago, IL (where I met my husband, Mark Daniels). We currently live in Durham, NC.
We travel whenever we can. So far we have been to Mexico, Belize (twice), Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Ecuador (twice), Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Grenada (and several small islands in the Grenadines), and Dominca. We're trying to decide where to go next. My main "leisure" activity, which is actually a lot of work, is dog training and dog sports. I have two mixed breed dogs with whom I compete in agility and flyball (you may have seen these things on Animal Planet or something). I also teach puppy training and flyball classes several nights a week. In fact, it's agility that may keep me away from the reunion, as I have a competition the same weekend. I also entertain myself by doing a radio show at WXDU, the Duke University radio station. com Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 Did your spouse or significant other Graduate from Edison?: No What have you been up to since the last reunion?: After Edison I went to VA TECH and graduated with a BS in Nutrition. Always the late bloomer, I got married at 29 to a man from Milwaukee who I met in Norfolk where I worked as a clinical dietitian. We decided to settle near the ocean in South Florida for our first 7 years together. I worked in 2 hospitals and a nursing home there. At age 34 I finally got pregnant, and right before I had my first son we moved to the Milwaukee area to be near my husband's family. My family is spread out all over the country, so this is a good place to settle in the "heart land". We now have 2 sons (ages 10 and 7) and a daughter (age 3). I work raising my kids, caring for my mother, managing my magazine distribution business, and assisting my husband who is a photographer. I will never forget where I came from, and all the wonderful classmates I met and befriended there! I hope to make it to the next reunion when my children are a bit older. From Clare: Last reunion attended was the 10 year reunion.
